Frequently asked questions
- Can I download Timeline X Studio right now?
- Yes. The Download page detects your computer and shows the live availability of the macOS Apple Silicon and Windows x64 preview installers, including version, package size, and checksum when present.
- Which platforms will it support?
- The desktop architecture and packaging flow support Apple Silicon macOS and 64-bit Windows. Linux is not part of the current preview distribution.
- What can the AI agent do in my project?
- The built-in Agent workspace — or an external client connected through the local, bearer-token-protected MCP server — can inspect the project, place, split and move clips, work with panels, trigger delivery, and use the same typed mutations as the UI. Every agent batch operation is recorded as a reversible history checkpoint.
- Are my projects uploaded to the cloud?
- No. Timeline X Studio runs local-first; there's no cloud sync or hosted processing in the first release's scope.
- Is the source code open?
- The application source is MIT licensed. Bundled FFmpeg components carry their own LGPL/GPL license terms.
